I'm 23 today! Haha. A year older yet I don't feel any wiser. When will I ever grow up? :)
Anyway, I'll be off to my Mum's village soon. Long Pillah. Haven't been back there since 2004. Hoping to have fun there. :)
Gotta go now. Merry Christmas everyone!
Cheers!

All Dogs Go To Heaven
:: This post was supposed to be posted on the 14th of December ::
13th of December, 2009.
Ryder died. :’(

He died right in front of our eyes. Poisoned. My heart aches for him. He was really in great pain. Yet still when he was in pain he still lifted up his head and wagged his tail when Mum called him. He always answers when we call his name. I looked away while the last waves of convulsions racked through his body. I couldn’t even bring myself to stroke his fur for the last time. I was too sad … … Ah-Der, you must have felt so scared and confused. Even when your body has stopped convulsing, there’s a puzzled look in your eyes. As if you’re wondering what’s wrong with your body …
I just gave him a bath the day before. He hates it when we give him baths. He’ll always find a way to escape. Even while we’re giving him a bath, he’ll try to slip away. Ha-ha. I love you Ah-Der. That evening after his bath, I hugged him. His fur felt so soft, so fluffy.
I love it when he looks at us in the eyes, as if trying to make us feel guilty. He’s a smart dog. Yet he can be sly too sometimes. Once in a while he’ll come slinking into the kitchen, as if wanting to remind us that it’s time for his dinner. He’ll look at us with that big round eyes of his, making us feel guilty for not giving is meal on time. Ah-Der, I miss you.
I miss how you’ll wait for us at the gate when we’re out at night. I miss how you’ll jump on us when we arrive home as if we have been away for a month, even though it has only been few hours. I miss calling out your name, just too see you wag your tail at us. I miss how you’ll sit in the middle of the road and not even flinch when car passes by (as if we’re feeding you stones). I MISS WATCHING YOU RUN!!! You make me feel so proud when you run, with that long strides of yours, trying to out-run cars. I miss you Ah-Der …
Be good, Ryder. You’re with Billion and Palappy now. At least Palappy will be glad to see you. His big brother will be there to play with him now. Billion will also be glad to see you. Don’t worry bout Ah-Han. He may be puny, but he’s a tough dog. He’ll miss your companion though. Calvin will be ok soon too. Don’t worry bout him.
All dogs go to heaven. It’s the name of a cartoon movie I use to watch when I was a kid. All my doggies are in heaven now. Be good doggies. Shadow, Pinky, PuiPui, Palappy, Billion and Ryder, be good. I love you my doggies.
Goodbye my handsome Dark Knight. I miss you terribly.

My quaint life in Sri Aman
:: This post was supposed to be posted on 3rd December ::
Hello.
I’ve been home for almost a week now. I’ve been meaning to blog since last week but darn Streamyx won’t co-operate with me. *sigh* Come; let me show you what I’ve been doing ever since I’ve arrived home.
Home Sweet Home.
Bit messy coz Mum and Dad is too busy at the shop. My sister is left to do all the tidying up. That’s her and the dogs in the picture. :) Only have 2 dogs now since Billion died. I miss her dearly; she’s been a good companion.
It’s nice to be home. Sure, I have lots of chores to do. Christmas is almost here and CNY just 2 months after that. I have to start cleaning up the house now. Starting with the cushion covers. Next will be the curtains (My house has ridiculously lots of curtains. For the windows in the living den itself, it has 3 layers of curtains!) Then there’s the windows to be cleaned, the garden and, and, and .. what else? A LOT!! But still, there’s no place like home. :)
One thing I don’t like about coming back here would be the “beautiful” view and “soothing” sound from across the road. :( Owh, and don’t forget the “wonderful” smell too.
Darn those logging company. This is like right in front of my house. Every morning I’d wake up to the sounds of those machines blaring away. Once I woke up in the wee hours of the morning to go to the loo, and when I opened my bedroom door, I was greeted not by the sounds of birds chirping, but the sound of the logging vehicles. How soothing can that be? Luckily my bedroom seems to be soundproof. The view used to be quite pretty in front of my house coz it’s situated right at the river banks. I used to bring my dogs for a walk there. Now, it’s all ugly. Once again, thank you darn logging companies. :S
What else have I done? Hurm … Owh ya! I’ve been cooking! My brother is crazy on one of the Indian dish my Mum learnt from her best friend back in Solomon. We think its Chapatti. Haha. I miss Auntie Praful and her cooking. I used to go to her house after school every Monday.
And my sister baked a birthday cake for her boyfie. It was a chocolate cake with Vanilla Butter cream icing and a pinch of cocoa dusting on top. I only helped to spread the icing and did the dusting. Felt too lazy to do any baking or washing up. Hehe.
By the way, the cake was delicious. And it should be. Me and my sister have been baking since ermmm, I don’t remember. Haha. Owh, and I flipped through Mum’s recipe book a few days ago. My hands are itching to try out some of the cake recipes in there. I better copy it down into my own personal book and bring it back to Miri. First recipe I wanna try would be the Truffle Chocolate Cake. Yum! :)
Besides Chapattis and cakes, I also had a few of my favorites. I don’t know some of their names in English though. Sorry!
Hurm … What else? I think that’s all for now. Owh wait! I’m currently hooked onto a certain game. It was introduced to me by my game freak brother and surprisingly my book loving cousin. :)
*eyes rolling* Childish, I know.. Haha!
Guess that’s the end then. Nothing much to tell anyway.. Maybe in my next post, I’ll show you some pictures of Sri Aman’s new Waterfront. Haha! Sri Aman is not as quaint as it use to be ..
P.S: I almost forgot. My sister is a cruel, cruel, cruel person. Need proof?
Hahaha!

Dreams
People usually say that people who dreams would achieve great things in their life. Do not be afraid to dream. it is dreams that motivates us when eveything fails ..
I am a dreamer ..
I'd dream of wonderful things to do. Great ideas, great plans. Smiles everywhere .. But, my dreams don't always come true. There is a lot of obstacles in my way.
Dreams ... I am afraid to dream now. But then, when reality seems so cruel, it's easier to slip off ..
:'(
Can't really explain properly right now. My mind and my heart is too messed up right now. Don't know what to do.
*sigh*
Off to one of my fairytales again. At least I'm happy there ...

Leona Lewis~~
I love Leona's songs. Able to relate most of her songs to what I'm going through. Her latest song, Happy, suits my life so much right now. :)
Leona Lewis - Happy
someone once told me
that you have to choose
what you win or lose
you cant have everything
don’t you take chances
you might feel the pain
don’t you love in vain
cause love wont set you free
i could stand by the side
and watch this life pass me by
so unhappy but safe as could be
(Chorus)
so what if it hurts me
so what if i break down
so what if this world just throws me off the edge
my feet run out of ground
i gotta find my place
i wanna hear my sound
don’t care about other pain in front of me
cause i’m just tryna be happy, yea
just wanna be happy, yea
holding on tightly
just cant let it go
just tryna play my roll
slowly disappear, oooh
well all these tears
they feel like they’re the same
just different faces, different names
get me outta here
well i can stand by the side
and watch this life pass me by
pass me by
(Chorus)
so what if it hurts me
so what if i break down
so what if this world just throws me off the edge
my feet run out of ground
i gotta find my place
i wanna hear my sound
don’t care about other pain in front of me
cause i’m just tryna be happy
just wanna be happy
oooh
so any turns that i cant see
ill count a stranger on this road
but don’t say victim
don’t say anything
(Chorus)
so what if it hurts me
so what if i break down
so what if this world just throws me off the edge
my feet run out of ground
i gotta find my place
i wanna hear my sound
don’t care about all the pain in front of me
cause i’m just tryna be happy
just wanna be happy

Bit of knowledge causes no harm ..
The other day, while talking to a friend, I learn something new. This friend of mine is a frequent flier. And I was told, that as a frequent flier, this could effect your fertility rate. Hahahaha!
So, I did a bit of reading, just for fun. this is what I've found out.
Causes of low fertility rate:
1) Smoking
2) Diet
3) Alcohol
4) STD's
5) Vigorous exercises
6) Driving
7) Misuse of substance
8) Radiation treatment
9) Malnutrition and Lack of Supplements
10) Genetic causes
Wait, there's driving as a cause of low fertility rate. But there's nothing about flying. So how can a frequent flier be affected?
Answer? Because of RADIATION.
Quoted from an article by Brent Blue on August 22, 2000 :
" We're now entering a peak period in the 11-year solar cycle (forecast to
reach its maximum sometime in 2001), when the huge magnetic storms on the
surface of the sun -- technically known as Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) and
colloquially as solar flares -- expel eruptions of high-energy ionized gasses
through space at speeds of 600 miles per second or more. When these eruptions
reach Earth, they often produce eerily beautiful displays of the northern and
southern lights in polar regions, and also often cause disruptions in
wireless communications. In extreme cases, they have been known to disrupt
power grids and cause blackouts. Such solar particle events can also
drastically increase the amount of radiation to which people aboard
high-flying jet aircraft are exposed. That's one reason that there seems to
be a renewed interest in the possible health hazards of cosmic and solar
radiation to professional cockpit and cabin crews, and even frequent-flying
passengers. "
Owh! These radiation does not only affects the fertility rate, but it can also cause cancer.
And so my frequent flier friends, be careful~
P.S: Should have done a better report, but I was too lazy to type out. I'm in my holiday mood now. And I'm excited on going to watch 2012 tonight! (Was supposed to be yesterday but the cinema was full! Darn. Friday the 13th? Haha.)

What was you're ambition when you were 6?
The other day, I answered a random question in Facebook. It was about what was your ambition when you were little. I smiled when I thought back on what I wanted to be.
There was one period of time when I wanted to be a Professional Ballerina. (I still do!) I was quite serious on becoming a ballerina. My parents enrolled me for ballet classes in Honiara when I was 4. I was delighted when my god-father gave me a present in the form of a ballerina tutu and also a pair of ballerina shoes. (I still have them somewhere in my closet). I even took part in a ballet performance. The performance was based on one of my favorite Disney Princess, Sleeping Beauty. But as I was a beginner and was too small to handle important roles, I ended up being a minion fairy. -____-“ Still it was fun. But then, my ballet classes had to come to an end because my family had to move back to Malaysia. *sigh* There goes my Professional Ballerina dreams. Up until today, I really envy those ballerinas I see in the tellie, especially if they are performing Swan Lake. :(
Then, I wanted to be a Professional Pianist. I love music and I especially love the piano. Love touching the keys and listening to the sounds they make. And so, my parents enrolled me for piano lessons (to make up for my ballet classes). I was thrilled. Every week, I’d look forward for my piano lessons. Even though my instructor was very strict and fierce, the best day of the week would always be the day I have piano lessons. I’d walk to my instructor’s house for these lessons, rain or shine.
Wait! There’s one funny incident I can never forget that happened on those short walks I took. There was one time when I was on my way; I was suddenly surrounded by dogS! I didn’t know what to do so I just stood there; too petrified to shout or ask for help (I was only 6 or 7 at that time). I wanted to run but then I remembered reading from somewhere that if you run, dogs will tend to chase you. So there I was, trying to stand very still, hoping the dogs would lose their interest in me and go away. I was just a millisecond away from crying when my ‘knight in shining armor’ came to the rescue. (Actually, he was just a kid bit older than I was, riding his bike on the way to a convenient store. -____-“) So, he chased away the dogs then came back to make sure I was alright. The only thing I can remember him saying to me was “OK. You can go now. Dogs are gone.” Haha.
Ok, Ok. Back to my ambition on becoming a pianist. No, did not turn out to be a pianist. Another shattered dream along with my ballerina dream. Had to quit my piano lesson when I found out that I’d be entering SM Sains Kuching, which is a Sekolah Berasrama Penuh (SBP). So, goodbye Professional Pianist.
After that, I have no idea on what my ambition was anymore. But! I found a new passion. Writing. I love to write. Whenever I feel sad or angry or just bored, I’d pick up a pen and just write. Prove? My ever so thick diaries from high school and matriculation. :) (Psst! I’m still doing it. But no more books. It’s all in my lappie.)
I love poetries. I love short stories. I love anything to do with writing. My favorite subject during high school? English Literature. I love Shakespeare. Love, love, love Shakespeare. Used to dream that one day I could go and study bout him and all those other famous writers. And so, after my SPM, I tried to apply for TESL. Figured that that would be my first step on my journey to go and study more on Shakespeare and the others. But, no answer. :( I thought that maybe my English wasn’t good enough. So I waited. After taking my MUET, I tried to apply again. But still, no can do. Imagine the frustrations! So, goodbye Shakespeare. That was when someone suggested that I should consider studying linguistic. BUT, my parents and relatives were against that idea. *sigh*
In the end, where am I? Here in Curtin, doing a double major in Commerce. Commerce! That’s like so different then what I wanted to be when I was little. Loving my Marketing units but really struggling through my Finance units. Why oh why did I took finance? *sigh* How do I see myself in the future? Ugh! Pretty bleak for me in the finance stream. :( Hope I’d do better in the marketing stream.
Oh wait! I’ve found another passion. Baking. Actually, I’ve been baking ever since I was a kid. Helped Mummy a lot in the kitchen. The first cake that I baked all by myself was a birthday cake for Mummy when I was 10 years old. Did it from scratch, ok? Even the icings. That was 13 years ago. Now, here I am, baking and selling cupcakes as a way of eliminating stress from studying too much. :) Maybe after I’ve completed my degree in Finance and Marketing, I could go for classes at Wilton? Can I? Haha.
Eva Holt! Don’t you dare forget bout BrainWash. :)
Anyway, what I’m trying to tell is that what you dreamt of as little kids might not necessarily come true when you get older. Take my ambitions for example.
Yes, I would still love to be a ballerina. But I don’t think my bones could tolerate on all those pointy toes exercises anymore.
Yes, I would still love to be a pianist. I still can go back for piano lessons. But then, when I’m done, would the world be ready for an old pianist? Haha.
Yes, I would still love to study bout Shakespeare. Guess I’d have to settle on Google-ing infos bout him rather than attending lectures.
Maybe in the future, you’ll see me running my own business. Selling cupcakes, cookies, cakes, pies, scones and what so ever. :)
Or maybe, just maybe I’ll be writing articles for some glossy high class magazine. :) (I still love writing ok?)
Who knows what the future might bring. Come what may.
