I've always had trouble in sleeping sometimes.
I think it's obvious from the times of my posts.
And I think I've said it many times too.
I just can't sleep sometimes.
So usually I'll listen to soft songs or musical instruments as my lullaby.
I actually have a playlists of songs that are my lullabies.
That playlist of mine contains lots of Yiruma's music.
Love love love Yiruma.
Trying my best to play one of his piece, "River Flows In You."
My cousins can play it on the piano now.
I've just started trying.
Slow progress coz my fingers are stiff from not playing on the piano for a long time.
And I do not always have access to a piano.
Anyway, this is a song that a friend of mine introduced.
The first time I heard it, straight away into my Lullaby Playlist.
I love the melody and also the lyrics.
It's Taylor Swift ft. The Civil Wars.
Safe and Sound
I remember tears streaming down your face
When I said "I'll never let you go"
When all those shadows almost killed your light
I remember you said "Don't leave me here alone"
But all that's dead and gone and past tonight
Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound
Don't you dare look out your window
Darling everything's on fire
The war outside our door keeps raging on
Hold on to this lullaby
Even when the music's gone
Gone
Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound
[INSTRUMENTAL]
Just close your eyes
You'll be alright
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound
Sleep tight loves.
Stay safe and sound.
xoxoxo
